New 17 RCS master cylinder
Radial master cylinder designed for road motorcycles that allows maximum readiness and perfectly modulated braking in all conditions of use, with excellent linearity between the force applied to the lever and the braking response. The 17 RCS further improves the braking feel of all sport bikes equipped with the latest Brembo M50 monoblock calipers. The optimization of the hydraulic ratios between the M50 caliper and the 17 RCS master cylinder was the result of careful design, which made braking performance even better.
This master cylinder features Brembo’s patented RCS system for adjusting the lever spacing to achieve the ideal feeling between rider and bike. In seconds, using a simple screwdriver, you can make the brake system more aggressive and responsive (20 mm) or softer and more modular (18 mm). With the eccentric on position 18, highlighted by the color red, you get a more modular braking feel; with the eccentric on position 20, highlighted by the color black, the braking feel is more ready and responsive.
This model uses a 17 mm diameter piston and an articulated long lever (LL), a detail that is particularly appreciated by racers in racing and those who like to ride on the track.
Brembo employs only state-of-the-art procedures and workmanship to ensure excellent operation and performance. In fact, the aluminum alloy pump body is obtained by forging subsequently machined by numerically controlled machines.
Like all RCS brake master cylinders, the 17 RCS comes with a micro switch kit to operate the brake light and a special nozzle for connection to the hydraulic line.
