This Aprilia oil filter is specifically designed for the Aprilia 1000 V60 (V990) twin-cylinder engine.
It is suitable for RSV 1000, Tuono 1000, Caponord ETV 1000, SLFalco, and RSTFutura models equipped with the Rotax V60 engine.
Regular replacement is recommended.
The oil filter prevents engine wear by trapping metal particles, dust, and carbon deposits generated during operation. By replacing the filter, the circulating oil remains clean and efficient, reducing the likelihood of engine issues.
This helps to prevent power loss, high fuel consumption, or damage to mechanical components such as pistons, piston rings, camshafts, timing chains, and others. The filter is easy to replace, but do not dispose of it in household waste. Please consult your local regulations for proper disposal.
Description
This is a 74 mm tall immersion paper filter, accessible by removing its cover on the engine. During replacement, ensure you check the installation direction of the existing oil filter, and install the new one by confirming that the cover closes onto the engine with slight pressure. Made from special filter paper resistant to high temperatures, this Aprilia oil filter is easier to dispose of. It includes a bypass valve that allows oil flow in case the filter becomes clogged.
This filter allows for an oil change interval of 7,500 km. However, there is also a ‘long’ 101 mm version (which allows for a 10,000 km maintenance interval) which could be installed on your motorcycle. Please note, they are not interchangeable. If you have the ‘long‘ oil filter, you will also have a taller cover to accommodate it. If in doubt, contact us and send a photo of your cover, and we will advise you on the correct filter to order.
